Shop With Me For This Diwali @ Forum Mall, Chennai

It’s been like six years since I moved to Chennai and I have visited every single shopping mall here except Forum Mall and Abirami Mall. We girls always love huge spaces like shopping malls as they are the best place to spend quality time window shopping and sometimes real shopping too ;) I have been to all malls but not these two because they are too distant from my place :( I always wanted to visit Forum Mall and whenever I cross that place while traveling to Koyambed I would be like “must come here someday!” and finally I got a chance to visit & shop there this weekend :D
Read on to know my experience of shopping at Forum Mall for Diwali!

We were feeling bored over the weekend and wanted to go somewhere. Phoenix was a boring choice for us as we are bored to the core to visit the same place like every weekend :P (We love Luxe)!
I was suddenly like will go to Forum and Mr. X was like I always wanted to watch a movie in Palazzo. So it happened :)

The moment I entered inside the mall I was smitten by their exquisite architecture. Yes the mall is designed with so much class and the artistic touch to every piece of the building was overwhelmingly beautiful :D The whole mall is super huge and the counters are big enough to shop comfortably unlike few places where each brand would get just some 10X10 space!

It was a bit early when we entered in so we decided to watch a movie first. As soon as we entered into 5th floor I was swept off my feet! The whole floor is allotted for theatre screens and they have 9 screens in total all Sathyam screens. The architecture, art and design was the best I have ever seen in any shopping mall here. It was completely vintage-y and amazing. Cupid was kinda ruling the whole theme of design. We picked a movie and booked tickets with the help of the online booking displays (I don’t know their exact name) placed there.

They have dedicated food counters outside the screen for that mid-movie munching and all popcorn lovers would definitely know the specialty of popcorn masalas available in Sathyam screens ;) Ahem ahem I never leave the screens without having popcorn btw :P

Once the movie was over I reluctantly moved out of the floor and we planned to start back. Once we came downstairs I noticed the Lifestyle showroom and couldn’t resist at all after seeing their displays of Diwali collection :D We hadn’t shopped yet for Diwali so I pulled him in to get me something :P
I was instantly attracted by their printed leggings collection from Melange at display so first thing I picked up one from them! Lifestyle carries so many brands and the popular ones are Melange, W, Biba, Max, Ginger, Global Desi, Aurelia, Van Heusen, Only, And, Allen Solley, Lee, Levi’s, Lee Cooper, Wrangler, Code and many more!

So what did I finally get from Lifestyle?

I picked up two sets of clothing for me.
I’m a crazy fan of fusion wear and always keep pairing my kurtis with waistcoats or shrugs :P So I picked up a blush pink kurta with 3\4th sleeves and gold print, a black sleeveless shrug with golden print to pair with the kurti and beige printed leggings – overwhelming prints :D :D I also picked up a beige crushed dupatta with it so that if I want to turn my outfit into a pucca ethic wear I can just skip off the shrug and add the dupatta to the outfit :)

For the next set I picked up a blue and white long top and a white lace legging to pair with it. The top has cute prints in it and looks so elegant! I was roaming around simply while Mr. X was looking to pick something for him too and I suddenly started looking for cape coats or tops. Capes are all the rage these days and I used to skip them as I’m too short and had a feel that they would show me short. But when I saw a simple and gorgeous black & white cape top, that too on offer it just took my breath away! I picked it up too ;) and didn’t need an extra legging for it as I can use my lace legging with this one too :D Most of my clothes were from Melange and the kurti is from Biba.

Mr. X always does his shopping quickly too and he picked up a dark blue jean and a plain black shirt both from Wrangler :)

We were hungry and tired after our shopping tour and we wanted to grab a bite! Mr. X doesn’t prefer eating outside much so we grabbed some quick bites before leaving :)
They have a huge food court in 3rd floor and we hopped on to Cream Centre first. Took a plate of French Fries and one Chilli Cheese Toast. We wanted some dessert and weren’t planning to have any sweets. So we went on to Squeeze Juice Bars and had one Mixed fruit parfaits and omg it was super delicious! :)

As I went early, most stores were closed and only when we started back I noticed that there is a huge Lifestyle store in the ground floor and half of it is for cosmetics :D As we were already bankrupt (kinda) I couldn’t pick anything from there :( But why else do I have an upcoming birthday in January for? ;)

If you are a Chennaite and haven't visited Forum Mall yet then do visit and you might be smitten too ;) Shop there this festive season and grab the best pieces from their awesome collection :) If you have already visited the mall do let me know if I have missed covering anything and will definitely cover it in my next visit :P
