Hello There!

Keep reading and a bride or not eating these foods and including them in your daily meals is definitely beneficial in many ways! :)

Let The Water Keep Flowing

Yes I stress on this almost in every post!
Drink atleast six to eight glasses of water per day. You can increase or decrease based on your body demands!
Its a myth that you mustn't drink more than 8 glasses in a day. Water is a harmless drink and you can consume it based on your body requirements.

Soaked Almonds

Start your day with 4-5 soaked almonds.
Almonds are packed with essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin E, zinc, calcium, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids that holds so many benefits for your health, skin, nails & hair.
It helps digestion, boosts your brain, the folic acid in it helps energy gain for pregnant women, controls choleatrol, prevents heart problems, gives shining tresses when used as a hair mask, gives you amazing skin and much more!
Beginning your day with soaked almonds definitely kick starts your day!

Go Nuts For Nuts

Include handful of nuts like almonds, cashews, walnuts, Pistachios and also some dry fruits like raisins, cranberries, blackcurrants, apricots, prunes too to get that amazing skin.

But make sure not to have more than a handful as anything consumed more than it must be is injurious! Especially limit the cashews as they tend to add up weight if consumed more.

The Lemon-y Option

After consuming the almonds drink a glass of warm lemon water. You can add honey to it if you like. This is the super drink that helps you get glowing skin and has a lot of health benefits too.

Detoxify Yourself

A thorough detoxification helps you get that bridal glow. Although detox waters don't taste amazing they do wonders to your skin.
So do try atleast one detox drink a day to become that super glowing bride!

Hop on here & here to find some detox water recipes for you :)
I prefer sassy water anyday :D

The ABC Juice

This is a wonderful juice that gives excellent benefits for your brain, skin, relieves stress and keeps you peppy all day long!
It's Apple Beetroot Carrot juice ;)
Pick a big juicy apple, a quarter beetroot, a full carrot and make juice out of it. Strain it well and consume it once or twice in a day and enjoy the benefits :)

I like to consume it with the pulp as it has more benefits than the juice alone. Also if you are a fan of pineapple flavour you can replace apple with 4-5 pineapple slices.

Greens Are Always There For You

Include more leafy green vegetables in your food as greens are loaded with vitamins and minerals that hold immense health benefits.

Be A Fruit-y Pie

Consume atleast one fruit in a day - in the form of fruit and not as juice as raw fruits have more benefits than juice.

Seeds That Give You What You Want

Include seeds like chia seeds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, cucumber seeds in your salads, oats, smoothies etc as they give you amazingggg skin.

The Miracle Tea

Drink one to two glasses of green tea in a day to kick your metabolism, avoid constipation through the day, and again get that glowy skin ;)

Proteins To Protect You

Add up more lean proteins - salmon and red meat are good choiced and if you are a vegetarian include 100-200 gms of beans\sprouts\groundnuts everyday.
Being a south indian and a pucca tamilian I prefer a bowl of sundal everyday (and as its Navaratri the sundal keeps flowing :P)

Foods To Avoid During The Wedding Phase

There are certain foods that must be avoided atleast from a week before the wedding to keep your stomach healthy and prevent bloating, acidity and other stomach disorders.
Avoiding these foods in your regular life is also very good for a healthy living - can gulp them on your craving & cheat days ;)
  • Caffeine - I know I know being an Indian and especially South Indian one can never avoid this but you must as much as possible and atleast don't have caffeinated drinks on the day before and the day of your wedding to feel light!
  • Avoid very spicy or salty foods as they bloat you up.
  • Avoid junk foods atleast for a week to 10 days before wedding.
  • Get rid of that chewing gums you keep storing atleast for a week before your wedding as the artificial sweeteners in them kill your spirit.
  • Reduce sugar consumption as it helps keep your GI in check.
  • A big no to carbonated drinks & sodas and you know why!
  • High fat foods like chips and any packaged & processed foods
  • Minimize the consumption of cheese and other milk based products atleast for a week before wedding

Hope the tips were useful for all the Brides out there! Eat these super foods and become the super bride, rock the day ;) :D
