Hello pretty ladies!

Monsoons are here around us and I’m really enjoying the rains a lot :)
They’re my best mates you know – eating chocolates in rain is my favourite during the monsoons ;)
And today we’re going to learn making something yummy, lovely, tasty and that keeps your lips soft and smooth :D

Yes we’re gonna learn to make a perfect lip scrub. Can we start?

What will you need?

Well these are the simplest ingredients and you will find them in your kitchen very well ;)

  • Sugar or brown sugar
  • Honey
  • Ground coffee granules\powder (or) instant coffee powder
  • Vanilla\strawberry essence (or) chocolate syrup
  • Olive oil (optional)
  • A spoon or spatula for mixing

Prepare all the ingredients. I didn’t mention any quantity because there is really no. It’s purely our wish to increase or decrease any of the ingredients quantity based on our interest and you will get to know how much you will need when you actually start preparing the scrub.

Take the container in which you would like to store the scrub. You can also mix it in a wide bowl and transfer. Anyway you prefer :) Put in adequate amount of sugar\brown sugar into the container. Add in the coffee powder and mix them well.

Add the honey and mix them again. Make sure not to add more honey – the consistency of the scrub must be thick and the coffee sugar mix must be bit dry, not fully soaked. Add in the olive oil. I didn’t add olive oil as it makes the lips feel a bit moisturized after scrubbing. I prefer manually applying lip balm after scrubbing :P The scrub must be thick in this stage too but it can be completely wet. If you don’t prefer any added flavor or essence then you can add little extra honey\olive oil and make the consistency bit loose enough to use right away!

Finally add in the vanilla essence\chocolate syrup adequate enough to bring the expected consistency to the scrub. I added vanilla essence to it as I didn’t have choco syrup handy :D You can also add a small piece of chocolate if you wish – but make sure you don’t eat off the scrub :P

Few months back it was the time when Maybelline Color Show nail paints were selling like hot cakes and that is when Revlon started thinking and realizing that even nail paints could cause a revolution.

Results: They revamped and launched their all girly and cute StreetWear By Revlon collection. Though the collection in total is not a hit, definitely the nail paints and lippys are! :)
I even loved their old range nail paints too but the new ones are just awesome ;)

Price: INR 60 for 5 ml

Shades [there are 4 categories of shades in them]:

Most of them are creamy glossy shades and a few are glittery. Disheartening - no mattes :(

Shades Of Susie: Black Magic 1, Bedside Blush 3, After Party 4, Bridal Sensation 7, Traffic Stopper 10, Risque Red 11, All You Need 12

Shades Of Aisha: Get Inked 14, Drama Diva 15, Dress To Kill 16, Rocker Chic 17, Lilac Lust 19, Purple Passions 21, Spill The Beans 25

Shades Of Shanaya: Emerald Eyes 33, Dragonfly Green 34, Snap It 37, Silver Sensation 28, Blue Satin 29, Sapphire Sensation 30, Lady Blue Eyes 32, Saucy Orange 38

Shades Of Simeran: Fairytale Romance 42, Save The Date 39, Love Blossom 40, Be Mine 41, In Your Dream 43, Rose Affair 45, Dreamy Pink 49, Pure Passion 50

I got only two shades from this range as first thing was just to try and check how they are and the second thing is - my hugeeeee junk of nail paints didn't let me pick a shade that I don't have :P
And now I'm eyeing few more shades from this range ;)

What I feel about these nail paints?

They're cute, affordable, girly, se*y looking ;) and easily available too.
The shades are super glossy and the sheen lasts till the end! Though the super glossy look fades in one day but still the polish remains glossy and doesn't become dull.

The consistency is excellent - its neither runny not gooey, just the right texture and it spreads very comfortably on nails. But the brush isn't so comfortable - its tiny, hard and not an even cut at tips in few bottles :(

Coming to the longevity, these polishes lasted good on my nails for a week with chipped corners. The corners start chipping in just one day which is heart-breaking. But you get for what you pay!!

Something about the shades I picked up!

Dragonfly Green:

It is a beautiful pale mint shade that is so adorable!
I always love mint greens and this one is just perfect :) I guess I would be laying my hands more on this shade ;)

P.S: Please excuse the messy application! I was in a hurry for an outing and didn't have much time to clean up the mess :(

After Party:

After Party is a beautiful deep reddish pink that stands out and gives you more girlish feel too (if you know what I mean?!). It is a hot shade best for evening parties and festives.
Apt for college girls who wants their nails to stand out :D

Rose petals:

Cute, girly and attractive packaging
Affordable
Easily available
Wide shade selection
Super glossy and the sheen lasts for a decent while
Decent staying power

Thorns:

Uneven and tiny\thin applicator
Chips at corners very soon [but a top coat would help to fix it]

Recommend\Repurchase?

Yup I recommend it to everyone, the shades are wonderful! especially school and college goers - its a boon for you ;)
I will not be repurchasing these shades (maybe might repurchase the mint one) however will be buying few more shades from this range soon :P

Hello pretty chics!

I'm terribly shocked that it has been more than 2 weeks since I posted here :(
My work is kinda going hectic these days :-/
Today I'm going to review a product from the brand Eyetex Dazzler, a Chennai based brand who has a complete line of traditional and trendy cosmetics.

Product type: Lip Gloss

Price: 75 INR

Product description:

High-Shine, non-sticky gloss.
Remove with Eyetex Dazller Eye and Lip Makeup Remover.

Shades:

My Take on Dazzler Lip Gloss:

I'm not a big fan of glosses mainly because I don't feel comfortable with them as I have the worst habit of licking my lips :(
But I wanted to try few glosses just to try out shades and Dazzler is the most affordable brand available here is Chennai easily :) So I picked up a gloss from this range!

The shade I picked up has glitter dispersed in it. There were few other shades without glitter too. I picked this up coz I wanted to try this shade ;)

The gloss comes in a convenient packaging with a doe tip as like all other lip glosses. This gloss lasts for around 2 hours which is too good for the price we pay. It doesn't feel sticky but when over applied you might feel like you have sealed your lip with some cream :P

Swatch:

Totally worth trying :)
