I’m here with this post inspired by the contest held by Blogadda in coherence with SkyScanneryour one shot travel planner. Than the interest to win prizes I was actually interested to do this post because I’m a travel freak and I loveeee travelling. And this place which I haven’t visited till date is always in my dreams!!

Before heading on to my actual travelogue (dream travelogue), let me speak a little about  my experience with SkyScanner – the one I gained while I was planning for my travel to the dream destiny :P

I visited the site just for fun and to know how it is different from other travel planners and I must admit I’m quite impressed! I have already decided to have my honey moon trip planned through SkyScanner ;) (but the trip is not anywhere near, I must be married first :P)

The site is quite simple and elegant by design and very easy to navigate. You can book flights, hotel rooms, cars and buses (powered by RedBus) as well through SkyScanner as part of your travel plan. After making this dream travel plan to Goa I conclude SkyScanner is the best travel planner available online :D

Read-on to know how efficient it is and how I planned my travel too :P

So my dream destiny is Goa – it’s the heaven on earth with beaches and sand everywhere :)

Note: Popeye the sailor man and Olive Oyl are my favourite couple (don’t ask me why please – it’s a childhood discovery) and this travelogue is going to be about their life ;)

Here we move on:

Popeye is a sailor and he loves spinach. But when he saw Olive he started loving her more than spinach After conversing with her for a while he proposed to Olive :)

Olive wasn’t happy to accept the proposal as she wasn’t finding Popeye handsome or interesting either. There comes Bluto, a body builder and Olive starts liking him. Popeye got to know that Bluto is not a good guy and he made Olive realise that too. When Olive saw Popeye fighting with Bluto for her, she was impressed! Guess what – she accepted his proposal :D

On a fine day Popeye and Olive got married and Olive was waiting for her wedding gift from Popeye!

Popeye turned up with the gift and Olive eagerly unwrapped it – but to her dismay, see what the gift was :P

Yes!! It was a pack of spinach :P Olive was very much disappointed and she started weeping :( Popeye couldn’t see her crying and jumped onto his laptop to find out the best gift for her ;)

While he was browsing and looking for the perfect gift he came across SkyScanner! He was totally impressed seeing the descriptions and the outlook of the site (jus like me :D) and he decided to go ahead with a vacation plan ;)

Popeye knows that Olive loves beach and he chose Goa as the destination for his plan :)
So here comes his (or my :P) travel planning :D Hope you enjoy it too!

They planned to start on August 22nd, 2014 as it was Olive’s birthday (2 in 1 gift baby :P)

Here is where you select and plan :)

They went for economical class and as the site listed the flights in a beautiful style (you can select for entire round trip or for single individual and view the prices) and the prices were listed in ascending order – easy to pick the least priced one :P

Flight chosen

So he decided to start in the IndiGo flight on 22nd as it started way good in the morning :)
Tickets booked for flight – fata fattt :D

Here is the to and fro travel flight details altogether:

Flight trip details

On the lookout of hotels, Popeye chose a mid-range superior room at jüSTa Panjim, located at Caranzalem Miramar. This particular hotel was rated 4.5 stars by hotels.com.

About the hotel and few more pics :)

They went and settled down in their beautiful deluxe room and Olive was full of smiles :) :)

Hotel front
The reception - it looks majestic :)
The dining - pretty decent!

Our room - royal ;) :D
The washroom - a bad angle pic :P
Oh wait! You wanna know what did they do for further plans? Heading on to Goa was not the only plan but roaming around too :P Why worry when we have SkyScanner buddy!!

Popeye smartly booked for a car as well and since it was only for two, just a budget vehicle with A\C solved their needs. Initially he was planning to book vehicles then and there or book through SkyScanner for the hours they require everyday! But it was a spoiled plan dude – booking together for 3 days is the brainy idea :D

I hate one thing in this step – can’t we have an ‘any’ option for driver’s age? :P Other than that its super fine and convenient - no complaints ;)

So after all the planning they visited the below places in Goa :D

The Mahalakshmi temple:

And finally the CASINO ROYALE :D :D ;)
Oh C'mon! Goa is famous for beaches, bik*n*s and the grand Casino :P :D

Popeye and Olive returned back happily after the trip and all thanks to SkyScanner – now Popeye knows what Olive loves ;) And…………….

The Happy Note: A Big Thanks To Blogadda And SkyScanner For RunningThis Contest. I thoroughly Enjoyed Each And Every Bit Of This Vacation Planning And Must Admit, SkyScanner Makes Life Easy - Atleast Travel Planning Easy!! :)

So as you all know Nykaa held a Great grand sale back in June 2014 where they offered a flat 25% off storewide almost.
Though I was on a budget I couldn't resist picking up few items that I aimed to purchase for a while but resisted due to price majorly!

So heading up on to my haul details :)

I picked up just 3 items from the sale but all of them were on my wishlist for a while ;)
The Nykaa team is the best online makeup site I have experienced so far. No fake promises, no delay in processing the order, no gimmicks listing products on site that they don't even have in their warehouse (I have experienced this with another site THRICE), neat and sturdy packaging, quick shipping and excellent customer service!! :D

I placed my order on 3rd June 2014, the second day of their sale and the products were shipped out on 5th June 2014. Not bad at all! Generally they ship out the products very next day (99%), maybe this time they wanted the sale to complete :P

So I picked up Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick POW4 (I know im very late to pick it up), 2 Color Show Glitter Mania polishes and 2 Vaadi Henrbals elbow-foot-knee scrub soap (whatta long name O-o). It's kinda a simple and cute haul :)

I got them for the below price!!

Maybelline pink alert lipstick
Original price - 375
Got it for - 300
Maybelline glitter mania nail paints
Original price - 125
Got them for each - 100
Vaddi herbals soap was not on offer, but i don't regret picking them up as they're a steal for their original price and these soaps are a mass hit ;)

So total savings - 75+25+25=125 (I'm planning to get one more glitter mania nail paint for it :P)
I loved the sale so much and enjoyed picking up and using these stuffs ;) :) :D

Honestly though I own a lot of makeup I don’t use them often. I get some reason every time to skip using them and regret later! But I always wanted to invest in a good makeup remover and I was looking for something that would help removing both face, eye and lip makeup altogether as using different removers for each is a pain for me (Lazy you know :P)

I was planning to buy the Maybelline or Lakme makeup removers but still as I have oily-combination skin I felt that they might leave my skin greasy due to the bi-phase nature. Later when I checked this remover in Avon brochure I was attracted by its classy and simple packaging and wanted to try it. I didn’t have a rep. to get me this and was sobbing for few months coz of it :(

As this was also a bi-phase one, the eager drained slowly. But the packaging was haunting my mind. 2 months later I got a rep and at the same time the makeup remover was on a 30% off offer ;)
Two-in-one deal :D I picked it up and to know whether it’s a love or ditch read on :)

Price: 399 INR for 75 ml (I got it for 299 back then but the price is hiked now)

It comes in a simple, cute and classy white bottle with a black flip cap. The cap is fit with the bottle firmly helping in making it travel friendly. This was the main feature that attracted me ;)

What it claims?

What it contains?

My take on Avon Face & Eye makeup remover

Firstly though it is a bi-phase remover I personally don’t feel that it contains more oil. The bottle needs to be shaken well before use for expected results. The remover is a white runny liquid which doesn’t feel greasy at all! It feels just a little opaque than H2O. So it’s a big yayy for me as I hate using oil for removing makeup since it give me troubles – blurs vision, makes skin feel oily forcing to deep clean my skin again!

The remover really does what it claims! With just a few drops on your cotton pad all your face makeup and regular\matte lipsticks come off with just a light single swipe :D But for removing kajal, waterproof eyeliners you would need a little stronger second swipe and your mascara needs even more effort to get removed completely. But I wouldn’t blame the product for that as it is the same case even with olive oil for me. It doesn’t sting at all which I feel is the best part of the remover. Though I don’t have super sensitive eyes but my eyes are a little sensitive indeed and I didn’t feel like I have applied a makeup remover on my eyes when I use this. So it scores a 100\100 here!!

The worst part is I personally feel that this remover leaves your eyes dry after removing your eye makeup with force as I always tend to splash my eyes with water immediately after removing my makeup with it. Also it makes your eye look dead and lifeless but I don’t mind coz I would never be using it in the middle of day :P Also it leaves a little oil residue back in the skin which doesn’t irritate me as it disappears after splashing water on my face most of the time.

Removes lipsticks, eyeshadows and other makeup at one swipe!
But you kajal, waterproof liner and mascaras would need a second swipe or little more effort :(

Rose petals:

Super classy travel friendly packaging
Best buy as it is for face & eyes when most of the makeup removers come for just eyes & lips
Paraben free
Didn't blur my vision or make my eyes uncomfy
Didn’t break me out
Comfortable and light weight texture
Removes makeup effectively and leaves skin clean
Ophthalmologist-tested and safe for contact lens wearers
One bottle would easily last for 3 months if used everyday
Total value for money
As it is oil based it is good for those with dry skin

Not easily available, can be got only through Avon representatives (but it is an easy job now as there are many avon reps. Available)
I personally feel it is bit costly – but a real good deal as it is paraben free
Can sting sensitive eyes a bit
Dries out my skin around the eyes a little
Makes eyes look dull (but again I feel this would probably happen with most of the makeup removers)

Recommend? Yes definitely!

Repurchase? Not now as I’m eyeing on the new release from Maybelline ;) But I hope would definitely get back to this if I’m not happy with MBL!!
