Product name: Lakme nine to five Flawless Crème Compact

Packaging type: Compact sturdy plastic box with 2 layer decks (One for compact and other for Applicator sponge)

Product type: Crème

Price: INR 450

A crème-to-powder finish formula make-up compact that glides on silky smooth and blends effortlessly for an impeccable finished look that lasts the entire day.

Suitable skin types: All

How it works:

Its active ingredients blend perfectly with your skin and offer full coverage for a flawless invisible finish. It is water based and its ultra-light nature helps in blending well with the skin.

How to use:

Step 1: Sweep adequate crème-to-powder compact on to the make-up sponge.
Step 2: Gently blend the make-up sponge in a downward direction. Allows you to control coverage for sheer or heavier results.

My take on the product:

Firstly, I love its packaging the most – a very convenient and travel friendly packaging. The shade I picked up was shell (the SA suggested me this).  As she said, the shade suited my complexion but at times it was ghosty too *confused*

But as the product description says, this blends well on the skin and gives a flawless finish. I apply it using the sponge and I will need to work a little harsh on my skin to make it blend well. And lot of product gets stuck with the sponge itself – so there’s more wastage. Then I started following a different technique (I must somehow finish up the product :P), I spray some rose water onto the sponge, pick up the compact with it and apply it on my face. This way it helps a lot in blending it easily and avoid the cakey appearance.

One thing I must say about this, it doesn’t give me break outs at all. It also didn’t make my skin either oily or too dry as well. So in this case, I just love it!!

  • Blends well with skin

  • Wonderful, travel friendly packaging

  • Good sponge atleast :P

  • Wide shade selection that suits Indian skin tones

  • Too pricey

  • Makes face cakey at times

  • Not the best one; I feel the regular Lakme compact powder works even better

Rating: 3 out of 5

Would I recommend it? A big No!!
